We are excited to offer a full in-person breech workshop, a hybrid workshop with virtual lectures and hands-on simulation training, PLUS two additional days of time with Drs. Hayes and Freeze. They will be available for consultations and hands-on simulation training.
Registration is capped at 25 for the in-person workshop (due to state COVID-19 regulations).
You may also enroll for a hybrid workshop and schedule your simulation session on November 2 or 3 (small groups of 4 or fewer). The hybrid workshop includes 3 things:
1) the online Hershey Breech Workshop (livestream & recordings)
2) a full pre-recorded breech workshop ("Breech Pro" course)
3) 2 hours of hands-on simulation training
Anyone is welcome to schedule additional simulation time and/or consultation hours on November 2 or 3.
When you enroll for a 2-hour simulation training block, you will receive a minimum of 1 hour of direct hands-on practice on the simulators, with the rest of the time observing simulations. Simulation sessions 1-4 with be with Dr. Hayes and Dr. Freeze; sessions 5 and 6 will be with Dr. Hayes.

What is your cancellation policy?
Orders are refundable if you are called away to a birth or a family emergency. Otherwise tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person. You may also choose to transfer your ticket to another 2-day workshop; any price difference will be refunded. All tickets include both livestreaming and access to the recordings. What about COVID-19-related cancellations?
If Breech Without Borders needs to cancel due to COVID-19 or low enrollment, or if you cannot come due to COVID-19-related reasons, you will have 2 options:
1) Partial refund (50%) AND access to the online breech workshop "Breech Pro". The online sessions will be downloadable and available asynchronously (viewable at your own convenience). In addition, we will offer several live sessions where participants can interact with the instructors, ask questions, watch and comment on breech birth videos, etc. The online workshop includes CEUs.
2) Transfer your registration to any other upcoming 2-day breech workshop AND get access to an online breech workshop. Two workshops for the price of one!

Can I get a refund if I am called to a birth and miss the workshop?
Yes! If you are called away to a birth on the days of the workshop, you have three options:
1) Keep your registration and watch the workshop recordings and/or livestream AND receive access to the full online course (Breech Pro).
2) Transfer your registration to any other breech workshop hosted by Breech Without Borders (see breechwithoutborders.org/schedule).
3) Request a refund. We will issue a full refund, minus a $25 processing fee.
Do you offer CEUs?
The workshop is approved for 15 contact hours with ACNM, MEAC, DONA, & ICEA.
About the instructors:
Rixa Freeze has a PhD from the University of Iowa and is a researcher, professor, and mother of 4 young children. Her current research specialization is vaginal breech birth. She is the founder of Breech Without Borders, a nonprofit dedicated to disseminating knowledge about breech. She blogs at Stand and Deliver.
David Hayes is an Ob/Gyn with an academic background and a passion for science and its proper application to clinical medicine. He has worked for Médecins Sans Frontières and trained in critical care obstetrics. Physiologic breech birth and supporting the training of breech birth attendants are particular interests of his. He works at Harvest Moon Women's Health.
